How States Serve Students with Dyslexia

Posted 3/24/2017

The Parents’ Campaign Research and Education Fund surveyed the state departments of education in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., to learn whether or not the state offers a license or certification for dyslexia therapists, how those therapists are used, and the primary method of serving students who have dyslexia. Responses received to date indicate that Mississippi is one of only three states with licensed dyslexia therapists. Mississippi has been recognized as a national leader in best practices for public schools serving students who have dyslexia.  See survey results
